Become a Volunteer

Do you enjoy meeting people and learning new gardening skills, or just want to get out of the house and try something new? Whatever the reasons you may have for volunteering, we are sure you will enjoy every minute of it.

There are many ways you can get involved at the Garden:

  • Gardening
  • Recording
  • Labeling and more.

To become a volunteer you do not require any qualifications, but if you have horticultural experience and would like to pass on your knowledge or practical advice to others, there will be lots of fellow members anxious to learn from you. If you are just starting to garden then this is a place to learn.

Work Days

We will be in the walled garden from 10.30am to 3.30pm every Wednesday and Saturday until 16th December. We will take a break and be back fortnightly from 10th and 13th January then weekly from 7th and 10th March. Please bring your own tools, gloves and a packed lunch.
